Anticipated Book of 2015 | #1

I know it's a little early. But here is my most anticipated book of 2015 so far. I am sure there will be others. But here are the ones that I am really looking forwards so far. I am sure there will be some Brandon Sanderson in there once I catch up with his novels.

Armada

Armada by Ernest Cline (July 28, 2015)
This must be my most anticipated book for next year. Ernest Cline is the author of Ready Player One (RPO). One of my favorite books of all time. I loved his references in his book. RPO was just nostalgic to me. Even though I didn't grew up in the 80s I knew all of the pop culture references. Love that cover.
Zack Lightman is daydreaming through another dull math class when the high-tech dropship lands in his school's courtyard-and when the men in the dark suits and sunglasses leap out of the ship and start calling his name, he's sure he's still dreaming.

But the dream is all too real; the people of Earth need him. As Zack soon discovers, the videogame he's been playing obsessively for years isn't just a game; it's part of a massive, top-secret government training program, designed to teach gamers the skills they'll need to defend Earth from a possible alien invasion. And now…that invasion is coming.

As he and his companions prepare to enter their ships and do battle, Zack learns that the father he thought was dead is actually a key player in this secret war. And together with his father, he'll uncover the truth about the alien threat, race to prevent a genocide, and discover a mysterious third player in the interplanetary chess game he's been thrown into.(Goodreads)
Golden Son (Red Rising Trilogy, #2)
Golden Son by Pierce Brown (January 13, 2015)
This book is the second in a futuristic trilogy by debut author Pierce Brown. I came across an Arc of Red Rising (the first book int he trilogy) at San Diego Comic-Con. It was a wonderful surprise. I really like the world and how interesting the characters are. The world it self is different of what I have come across with in the pass.
With shades of The Hunger Games, Ender’s Game, and Game of Thrones, debut author Pierce Brown’s genre-defying epic Red Rising hit the ground running and wasted no time becoming a sensation. Golden Son continues the stunning saga of Darrow, a rebel forged by tragedy, battling to lead his oppressed people to freedom from the overlords of a brutal elitist future built on lies. Now fully embedded among the Gold ruling class, Darrow continues his work to bring down Society from within. A life-or-death tale of vengeance with an unforgettable hero at its heart, Golden Son guarantees Pierce Brown’s continuing status as one of fiction’s most exciting new voices. (Goodreads)
A Darker Shade of Magic (A Darker Shade of Magic, #1)

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab/Victoria Schwab (February 24, 2015)
I am so excited for this book. I loved Vicious. With it's unique writing and interesting characters it was hard to put down. This is one writer that I hope to read more book from. To see the unique world that is not predictable. This new book is also a unique story line that I have never heard of before. Looking forward to getting my hand on. Another of her books with an amazing cover.
Kell is one of the last Travelers—magicians with a rare, coveted ability to travel between parallel universes—as such, he can choose where he lands.

There’s Grey London, dirty and boring, without any magic, ruled by a mad King George. Then there’s Red London, where life and magic are revered, and the Maresh Dynasty presides over a flourishing empire. White London, ruled by whoever has murdered their way to the throne—a place where people fight to control magic, and the magic fights back, draining the city to its very bones. And once upon a time, there was Black London...but no one speaks of that now.

Officially, Kell is the Red Traveler, personal ambassador and adopted Prince of Red London, carrying the monthly correspondences between the royals of each London. Unofficially, Kell is a smuggler, servicing people willing to pay for even the smallest glimpses of a world they’ll never see—a dangerous hobby, and one that has set him up for accidental treason. Fleeing into Grey London, Kell runs afoul of Delilah Bard, a cut-purse with lofty aspirations, who first robs him, then saves him from a dangerous enemy, and then forces him to spirit her to another world for a proper adventure.

But perilous magic is afoot, and treachery lurks at every turn. To save all of the worlds, Kell and Lila will first need to stay alive—and that is proving trickier than they hoped. (Goodreads)
The Sword of Summer (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, #1)
The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan (October 6, 2015)
What can I say other than it's a new Rick Riordan book. His amazing stories fussing together our world with mythology is just amazing. It pushes the readers to go out and learn more. Love what his books have motivated young readers.
Magnus Chase has always been a troubled kid. Since his mother's mysterious death, he's lived alone on the streets of Boston, surviving by his wits, keeping one step ahead of the police and the truant officers. One day, he's tracked down by an uncle he's never met—a man his mother claimed was dangerous. His uncle tells him an impossible secret: Magnus is the son of a Norse god. The Viking myths are true. The gods of Asgard are preparing for war. Trolls, giants and worse monsters are stirring for doomsday. To prevent Ragnarok, Magnus must search the Nine Worlds for a weapon that has been lost for thousands of years. When an attack by fire giants forces him to choose between his own safety and the lives of hundreds of innocents, Magnus makes a fatal decision. Sometimes, the only way to start a new life is to die . . .(Goodreads)
Fairest (The Lunar Chronicles, #3.5)
Fairest by Marissa Meyer (January 27, 2015)
This is a series that has surprise me. I always love the stories of "What if?" it was different. This is one story that I really come to enjoy. The writer make the characters her own in a world that I wouldn't have imagine. I am looking forward for the last book in the series "Winter" seeing how the story will come to an end. Also, looking forward for this book showing the side of the evil character which is never really represented. Ever the villain has a story.
In this stunning bridge book between Cress and Winter in the bestselling Lunar Chronicles, Queen Levana’s story is finally told.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, Who is the fairest of them all?

Fans of the Lunar Chronicles know Queen Levana as a ruler who uses her “glamour” to gain power. But long before she crossed paths with Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress, Levana lived a very different story – a story that has never been told . . . until now.

Marissa Meyer spins yet another unforgettable tale about love and war, deceit and death. This extraordinary book includes full-color art and an excerpt from Winter, the next book in the Lunar Chronicles series. (Goodreads)
